Grade 5 - Literacy

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome back to a new Term. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mrs Elif Olmez. I am a familiar figure at the school. I have been working at Sirius College Ibrahim Dellal Campus for a few years. This term I am lucky enough to be teaching Literacy to the wonderful Grade 5’s. They should be congratulated as they have been able to adjust to a new teacher for the term. They have been both supportive and responsible in helping me adjust to their ready established classroom routines and learning structures from their previous teacher: Mrs Fusun.

We have been working extensively on Novel Study (The Witches Book), Guided Reading, Explanation Text Types, Weekly Spelling Tests, Behind the News and of course the successful Annual Primary Concert.

Well Done Grade 5’s and keep up the great work as there is more to come!!!!.
